Since our last update, life in The Villages continues to be
very busy. April was filled with lots of
visits with family and friends and good use of the boat has provided fun
entertainment. Lots of golf cart
tailgating to Polo matches was had with our Florida family of friends.

| Ryan & Son Jeff |
Mother’s
Day took us
to Palm Beach Gardens to visit daughter Lisa and Bill.
Treated to a standing Prime Rib Roast for the
event and spent a lovely three days getting caught up to date.
Returning to The Villages, we began our planning for our
trip north for the summer. Leaving
around mid May, we decided to head to North Carolina to visit son Jeff ,
Grandson Ryan, and mom Mitz. Had a wonerful
two day visit and helped Ryan
celebrate his 21rst birthday, wow, makes Grandpa feel really old. Congratulations to Ryan for being accepted to Greensboro, NC College.

| Hickory Oaks Campground |
From North Carolina our trip to Oshkosh was uneventful.
Arriving
May 22, we immediately got the motor home out of storage (our home for
the summer).
Started right away, so that
was good.
We headed to Hickory Oaks
Campground for our first stay.
Plans
were to move to Waupaca for June, but mechanical problems with our slides did
not allow us to move.
Needed to get
fixed by 6/15
th as we had committed to caravan to Wyoming for a
Family Motor Home convention with friends.
A local RV repair shop got us fixed and extended warranty covered the
cost.
Good news.
May 25th we got treated to a nice Birthday Dinner (Bob’s BD)
by Bob’s sister Kathy and husband John, a really nice treat and visit.
On June 5th, granddaughter Mc Kenzie
graduated from High school. Not
knowing for sure when we would be back
we did not have tickets but was able to watch on a live stream on the internet.

| Marcy 100 years old |
A very big celebration took place on 6/7
th at
friends Bill & Judy Hesser's home.
Bill’s mom, Marcy, turned 100 years old. A very delightful spunky lady. A great party!
 |
| Lambeau Filed |
On June 15
th we were scheduled to head west with
two other coaches to the rally.
But
first we had a very important gathering to attend.
Our friends Peg & Gerry Henseler
were celebrating their 50
th wedding
anniversary at a very nice VIP suite in Lambeau Field Green Bay Packers stadium
complemented by a complete stadium tour. Wow!
What a treat!
And a great meal
and celebration besides.

| Train Ride Hill City |
So, leaving Green Bay around 3:30pm, we were a good 9-10
hours behind our friends heading west. We traveled to Austin, Mn, overnighting
there and caught our group the next day in the Black Hills of South Dakota,
staying in Hill City, not far from Mt. Rushmore.
A fun meeting with the Morton’s and
Anderson’s.
We spent an extra overnight
there and did some tourist things.
A
nice scenic train ride from Hill City to Keystone.
The next day we began our trip to the Rally
site in Gillette, Wy, traveling through some very scenic Black Hills country,
arriving at the rally grounds shortly after noon.
 |
| Rally Motor Homes |
Check in at the rally went really smooth, considering some
2-3 thousand motor homes.
Every kind and
size you can imagine.
The event is
filled with 4 days of seminars, vendor exhibits, and new motor home
displays.
A playground for RV enthusiasts.
Unfortunately it rained 3 of the 4 days, some
hail, but most of the exhibits were inside so no serious problem.
Still had fun with friends.
Steak fry inside last night with two other
couples.

| FMCA Rally Group, Kime's, Morton's, Anderson's |
Big storm today, strong winds, hail. Fortunately, no damage in our group. Now we head to Colorado to visit Shari's cousin. Then on to Utah.
Life is Good!
